A few days ago I put a Lyfe Fur up for sell. I started my day by seeing if my Lyfe Fur had sold yet. It did sell but it looks like they don't get as much on the auction as they use too. I have gotten as much as 400c but today I only brought in 85c.
I am still working on my training with Crunch. The training is going slow, but it is not the fault of Crunch I just have had the time to go out and practice the lessons he has been teaching. I am noticing the added amount of Darkus is pretty interesting though. While hunting with my Goss Blade I still get the same amount of swings and regia, but I am one-hitting many more critters. I am pretty consistantly killing Island Panthers in one hit now and most ferel go down in one hit or I get them to red. I would love to get to the point where I start one-hitting the smaller bears and cougars.
I decided to go by and see if it was time to take the 6th circle test again. It looks like it was time to fail again. He is still saying I have a way to go and most people who have passed are still stronger than I am now.
I had a great start. I started down in the Southeast corner and once the critters started spawning I moved north to the position I like the best. If I can do it just right I can fight them one at a time. This time I was able to kill off the first Wendy pretty easy. When he did fall I was just barely yellow. Here you can see me killing the first one, and a side benefit of the test.... coins.
Unfortunately, sortly after I killed the first Wendy I got hit be the Sas and had to retreat and re-position myself. I ended up in the southwest corner fighting the wendy. As you can see I was doing pretty good until the orga found a way around the barrier and got me from behind. The test ended shortly after than. Oh well, I still have not been able to duplicate my success a few months ago with killing both Wendies. Maybe next week.
One of the groups I regularly hunt with is called, CoNGA (Coalition of Nocturnal Gaming Addicts). We call ourselves this because we mainly hunt after prime time during the week. We have been trying to recruit people who are interested in going into the Ethereal Plane to hunt and investigate. Here is a little report on our last trip.
Here you can see us gathered before entering EP in the maze. I always just follow the people around this place. I always feel like I am lost and it never seems we go the same way to get to this point. One of these days I need to spend some time and research to learn more about the maze. The image is not great but you can see the PF spot below us were you enter EP.
After we entered you have a good fight on your hands to control the intercircle area. As you can see there are many critters right as you enter and you have to be careful not to touch any of the zodiac signs on the ring or you will be sent to a different area. Here you can see me swinging at the holder of the Ethereal Boots.
It is common practice after the area is cleared to hold a drawing for who will open the Ethereal Boots box. Only people who have not opened it before should do so as the first time you open the box you get experience. Usally this is equal to a full rank. I managed to not be paying attention today and missed the call for the line up for the drawing. I still have not gotten to open the box but I am sure I will in the near future as the number of people who have not done so gets smaller and smaller. This night Fist of Fluff was the lucky winner.
After securing the inner ring we gathered to lure all the critters to the northwest side. Once all of them were in place we went to the southwest side and went throught the zodiac. We then were we able to lure the critters around the ring and kill them off in small groups.
Below is a series of images and discriptions of the different types of critters you can encounter in the EP. If you see any mistakes in my discriptions please let me know I am not an expert on the EP. The first image here is of a Ethereal Stalker. For me these were not that hard to hit but they did hit back very hard.
Here is an image of several Astral Guardians. These floating globes are very hard to hit. I was able to hit most of them only after I got three boosts from Phiros. Not only are these hard to hit but they can do a lot of damage when they hit you.
Here is an image of a Ember Wyrm. These critters remind me of a Blood Wyrm in strength. They did take a lot of hitting to bring them down. And of course like most things in EP they give as much damage out as they can take.
Here is an image of an Ethereal Golem. I have only seen one of these once before. The time before I was unable to hit it at all, but this time I did mange to hit is several times. My guess would be they are simular in strength as the Mud Golems.
This is an Astral Wyrm. Again a rare sight for me being not all that experienced in EP. It was interesting to see the huge amount of space this critter takes up compared to its size. You can see that I am swinging at it from a distance that seems not quite right and it is hitting me back at the same time. The reach on this critter is very long.
Lastly is an image of the Serac Wyrm. This is the hardest critter I think we came across in our hunt. Not only is it very hard to hit, but it breaths an ice breath that will kill all but the strongest of exiles. As you can see one shot from its breath took Michael down to yellow. I was lucky enough not to be close when the breath went off or I would give you an idea on how much damage it does to me.
Shortly after killing the Serac Wyrm we exited from EP and made our way back to town. It was a very good hunt and we only had one time that I can thing of where things got scary. We managed the critters very well and stayed organized so the hunt went very smoothly. I will continue to update my notes on trips to the EP as we do them to share any information we find with the citizens of Puddleby.
