At the end of a great KI Full moon hunt the other night. We were about to head into the cave to get our boats and exit the island when 2 colds decided they wanted to join the fun. We made a quick escape into the cave but one of the colds followed us and we decided to hunt it in the cave taking shelter in Wyeth's hut when we got too hurt.
The first run was not very good, we could not get him surrounded. The plan was to
trap him, pound on him and let Hrothgar come in with a Bloodblade and finish him off.
We retreated to the hut again to heal up and came out for a second run. The second
had about the same results, but we did get him red before having to reteat.
When we went into the hut to heal a third time Wyeth decided to comment on our
adventure. We had a short talk to him and someone offered him a plate of muffins.
Between running out to kill the 2 colds and then back in to heal we had a few good
conversations with Wyeth.
Someone asked why does he ask for wood and tar to build the boats we would be
happy just to pay him for boats. He commented that he does not know how to make
boats out of coppers.
With a little more probing we found out that he does not keep a store of wood and tar
to build boats and that is why we need to bring him some if we want to use his
services. We asked if we could bring him extra wood and tar so he could start storing
up for the times we did not have enough. We even said we would pay extra for those
times when we did not have the materials. He seemed to like the idea and is taking it
under consideration.
Lastly he mentioned that he was thinking of charging for his services. We all agreed
that as long as the prices were not too high we would probably pay. The amount of
coins you get on a KI hunt and the experience would be worth paying Wyeth to build
us boats. I had to run off to the library shortly after that so I did not find out if the
conversation got any further. I thought about it afterwards and should have
mentioned to him that paying for his services are fine but we want to make sure we get
our money worth. Maybe he could work on building better protection on the exit or the
store of extra boats with the profits. I guess we will see what changes Wyeth decides
on in the next few weeks.
