Greetings, I have another big update. I guess when things start happening that happen all at once. I have had months of nothing really going on but the last couple of weeks has been very interesting.

First, Earlier this week, I had the chance to help a clanmate Lister on his Plains Maha Runkee challenge. We spent a little time in the savanna trying to clear junk and round up a few PMRs. Once we had a few in the southeast corner we ran to the hut and started the challenge. When we returned to the savanna many more had spawned and it actually turned out to be not so difficult to pass the test. Having the additional fighter along I am sure helped. I will have to take Lister up on his offer to help me take the test soon.

As I came out of the library today I was invited by Neige to help test the path inside Alchemist Folly. I took him up on the offer and soon found myself staring at the impossiable path again. This make my 3rd trip to look at this path. Each time I have no luck getting through. My guess is we need to find the trainer people have hinted about out in the foothills area that can train you beyond what the Marsh Hermit can.

Sortly after giving up on the path I got an invite to the Foothills. I never seem to get invited when I have time to make these trips and today I had the time which was great. I quickly excepted the invite and joined a group in the meadow that was gathering to make the run. We did the normal run to OC, then run to Bones. I tried Wisher's Gate once again and I am still unable to open it. We made quick work of the Orge beyond Wisher's Gate and entered the Trainers Grotto. Once here I learned why Zorton was along for the trip and our forces where so light. As you can see Zorton used the strange stone to teleport us from the Trainer's Grotto to the passes inside the Foothills. This means we completely skipped running the Orge Outback and we did not have to fight through Dred Passage. This saved us hours of time. I have included the movie of the teleport incase anyone wants to see it. You can download it here: ZortonTele port.clMov.sit

We arrived at the passes in the foothills and began hunting Midnight Wendies. I have not been to the foothills since I gained my new level of Skea training. Most Midnight Wendies pulled in between 20c - 30c but we were lucky on some skins and got around 40c. With our small group this was some pretty good coins. We quickly moved through the passes and cleaned up all the critters.

Once we reached the foothills we found minor forces of critters to stand in our way. We quickly moved through all the snells clearing them of all the Orge we could find.

Only one snell did we find some minor problems and the lightning was very heavy. We had to setup a stable rod after several attemps to cross the entrance and clear the junk. At one point Kojiro had some fog and got fried pretty good, I though he would enjoy me showing this image to you.

Here is a good image of me killing a Zealot.

We found a couple Dreadlocks in this snell and finished them off very fast.

Once we cleared all the Orge out we lured the Ash Giants from the Tree Giant area. We managed to find about 6 of these. They were great fun to fight and vanqs on all of them for me.

Once we had made the circuit that we had planned from the start. We thought it would be fun to bring back some critters to the coli to see if they could be added to the collection of critters we are able to fight. Here you can see we got a Midnight Wendy, Orge Spite, Zealot, Dreadlock, and Warlock.

Unfortunatly when I got back to the coli I entered the tunnel and quickly got trapped by the many critters I had on my chain. We tried everything we could think of but nothing seemed to work.

I guess we were making too much racket because Zapicus came out to ask what was going on. I explained to him that I was sorry for the racket but I was just trying to get the critters to him so he could use them in the coli.

He took one look at most of what I had and rejected it, but he did take the Orge Spite.

Here Zapicus gives me some advice on what to do next time around when bringing critters to him.

Since this was such a good event I decided that posting the movie of the event so you could see the full conversation. After taking the Spite we had a short talk about his work and the coli. It turns out that he has lots of work to do with all the critters people have been giving him. You can view the full movie here: ZapicusTalk.clMov.sit

Lastly, I wanted to make a short update to the Giant Crawler challenge that I mentioned before. I have been told that many have completed the challenge now so I guess it is possiable, you just have to work hard to get it done.
