Sielk's Adventure Notes

Introduction

I started keeping notes on my adventures in order to share them and any findings with others who may not be out of the library at the time they happened. Koric has inspired me to do this with the great work he has been providing with his scrolls. If you have any comments, please feel free to email me, sielk@sundragonclan.com. I keep the five most recent notes here on this page, you can find the links below. Also, the complete archive can be found here or by the link at the bottom of this page. Enjoy!

Puddleopedia

(RL: v445 2006-06-15)

Greetings! Wanted to take a few moments to talk about Puddlepedia. Today I spent some time reading and following the pages on this great resource in the library. I found many pages that had minor mistakes or no informaiton at all. I updated many of the pages but it seemed that there is much more work that needs to be done. I plan to spend some time updating and adding some entries but wanted to encourage people to also take some time as well. This is a great resource, unfortunatily the information I was looking for myself today had a blank page...

CoNGA goes to EW Cave
37 of Winter, 563

(RL: v445 2006-06-16)

Tonight CoNGA decided to spend some time hunting at the Earth Wyrm Cave. We spent awhile recruiting. It seems that our second weekly hunt (OOC Friday Night) we are having a harder and harder time finding healers to join us. Once we recruited our group we headed over to the cave.

Since the last time I hunted in these caves I have had a lot of training in both Atkus and Detha. I seems to have paid off. While I was still no match for them on my own I was able to take a few hits and return hits to them this time. The previous times I visited the caves all I managed to do was get luck hits and fall.

Again, CoNGA had a great time. We captured and lost the cave several times over a few hours but when our time ran out we were all able to get back to Town in saftey and had no departs. A pretty good night.

Random Invasion Images
18 Winder 564

(RL: v457 2006-09-08)

Greetings, The recent orga invastion has been covered very well by other people but I had several images that I figured people might find interesting and wanted to share them. Few notes with each.... These first two images were taken earlier in the week. While chasing some Orga back into Snaggy we ran into several very large Orga. Also I experienced for the first time an Orga that chained the fallen. This tactic by the Orga caused some pretty major headaches.

Here are a few images of the battles in the East Fields on the day of the invastion. Here was the first time I saw and fought with an Orga Loathing. I found that I only got luck hits on him so I spent most of my time trying to clear the junk and other nasty Orga that were coming from the north and spawning around us.

Once we cleared the East Field we moved into Tanglewood and Snaggy. Here you can see a glimps of Bartok as we tried to stop him from escaping. I managed to get a few swings at him but he was just too fast to get in front to block his escape. Also the spawns of other large Orga prevented us as we had to clear our way or risk getting seperated and fallen. The next image shows a loathing that blocked our path as we tried to chase down Bartok.

Here is an image of the entrance to what we believe is the Orga Stronghold. I saw Bartok cross the PF spot but did not get an image of it. This image was withing a few minutes after he crossed. I was not able to see any PF Sparkles at the time. I currently have 130 PF.

After not being able to enter the PF spot our group decided to try and make it across land to Camp Dread and clear the area so others could try and get to the Stronghold. We worked our way all the way to the cave from the foothills where you would enter Camp Dread. We timed our entrance with another group that was coming to CD via the portal. Unfortunatily neither group survived the entrance. The amount of Orga in CD was just too much for us. After clanning for many many hours this is where my time ended. I fell asleep fallen in CD. Later I awoke to find the area pretty empty and learned that a rescue was made. A few friends located me and brought me back to town to be raised.

Catching Up
56 Spring 565

(RL: v475 2007-01-04)

Again it has been awhile since I have made any notes.

During an invasion several months ago I thought it would be fun to have a stuffed etheral critter, sorry to say Phillip could not find any place to put the stuffing.

An entrance to one of the islands has been discovered and exploration groups are currently hunting on this island called Metz. The island is very difficult and has many challenges and unexplored areas. The Mystics are searching for some unexplained things as well. Here are a few images I have taken of the area.

A change in my schedule has allowed me to join the Pitch Assault Group (PAG). I am very proud to become a member of this group and greatly enjoyed the opportunity to explore deep into the Slate and Pitch caves. I also got the opportunity to get a brief glimps into the Orga Stronghold before falling. Since PAG is an exploration group pushing the boundaries most trips end up like this.

I did get to use my 50 Dentir on one of the PAG trips to get this mandible worth 96c. This is the highest one I have pulled. The funny thing is with 150 Skea the best skin I have gotten it only 82c.

During all my trips with PAG I have managed to learn quite a few of the Arachnoids as a Ranger to gain the benefits with my Gossamer blade. My current training I have learned the following:

Malachite Arachnoid, Crimson Arachnoid, Olive Arachnoid, Cave Cobra, Large Death Vermine, Young Sasquatch, Forest Chamelopod, Stinging Beetle, Giant Carnivorous Plankton.

I am now working on Slate Arachnoids which will probably take some time to learn since they are very hard. Once completed I will move on to either Pitch Arachnoids or Albino Arachnoids. Still deciding. I have not figured out what I want to learn as my first befriend and morph but I still have plenty of time for that since I will not have the ranks for many months.

My current training is in Pathfinding. A few months ago I joined a group and got access to the 2nd PathFinder Book, "Trillbane's Commentary on Ways". After completed 9 trainings in the first chapter of that book I qualified to start training on the 3rd PathFinder Book, "The Tao of Trillbane". I will document the chapters and trainings it takes on this book and post them here.

Once I complete my training in this book I hope to get back to pure fighter training to be able to pass the 7th circle test. I have attempted the test four times now, each time with very little success. I have the skill to hit all the critters in the test but I am going to have to gain more skill in order to be able to kill them quicker or defend myself from the massive damage they cause.

The time has come and gone for Bawkmas. It appears this year I was a good boy!

Lastly, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope to hunt and have fun with you soon! -Sielk

Greetings, Today the boardwalk open up and I had a very interesting event happen....

OOC: Been playing with the best way to archive Clan Lord movies. Keeping them in the CL Movie format works great for space but sometimes the images change. Actually taking a screenshot movie like this is what I am playing with. PM me on the Sentinel with what you think or things you have played with.
